Hello, my name is Rob Robinson and I would like to thank you for visiting my website. I hope the preceding pages have helped you to better understand why your HDTV is possibly (probably) not giving you the full HD performance you paid for (even though you might not have been aware of it). Consider me your personal HDTV/Home Theater guru and guide into the wonderful world of high-definition home entertainment.
I've spent my professional career in the high-end consumer electronics industry (with Bose, JBL, harman/kardon, KLH, Infinity Systems & others), with an emphasis the past 10+ years on home theater. I presently serve on the Board of Directors for the Consumer Electronics Association's Small Business Council and as a judge for their prestigious annual CES Innovations® Design & Engineering Awards.
Over the past decade I've become enamored with the advances made in the ever-increasing image quality, variety and affordability of high-definition home video displays (HDTVs). These new displays offer consumers the broadest choices of screen sizes, technologies, performance and installation flexibility ever seen.
Unfortunately, along with these improvements comes an almost dizzying array of complexities, acronyms & terminologies and general consumer confusion!
Why you need professional calibration . . .
Today's high-definition displays are capable of delivering home video images equal to (frequently greater than) what we've become accustomed to in our local cineplex. However, the sad truth is that most of them are delivered and installed without being properly adjusted to accurately reproduce the higher resolution and increased color accuracy they're capable of. Even more amazing are the results of a recent national consumer survey that discovered over 50% of all HDTVs currently installed are not connected to a high-definition source! These people aren't dumb, just uninformed.
How you'll benefit . . .
Using the services of a professional calibrator such as AccuColor HD will insure that your HDTV system produces the most accurate images, with the truest colors and film-like picture qualities, and that it's adjusted for the unique lighting of your room.
Whether your HDTV is located in a dedicated media room or home theater, living room, family room or bedroom, I'll precisely calibrate it to industry standards to give you a richer, more life-like entertainment experience that you'll be excited to share with family and friends. Caution: calibrated HDTV viewing may be habit-forming!
What to expect from me . . .
Before leaving your home, I'll make certain that you understand what I've done, are satisfied with the results of your calibration and know how to operate your home entertainment system at its optimum performance after I've left.
I'll even do my best to reduce your remote clutter by consolidating some everyday functions onto one of your existing remotes. I can also recommend and program an activity-based remote (Watch TV, Play DVD) that's even easier to operate.
I'll leave with you a detailed Calibration Report that shows both pre-calibration and post-calibration control settings, as well as gamma and color level charts.
I'll schedule a short return visit for a week or two after your calibration to:
- Insure nothing has changed and you remain satisfied with your calibration.
- Answer any post-calibration questions you might have.
- Schedule your next calibration appointment (usually within 12-18 months).
Your satisfaction is guaranteed . . .
A satisfied, enthusiastic and well-informed client will always be my most effective means of advertising - if you're not happy, I'm not happy!

Training and certifications .
. .
I've
been trained and certified by both Imaging Science Foundation and Sencore Academy and will bring to your home some of the most
sophisticated and accurate video calibration instruments and tools
available. This state-of-the-art equipment and software allows me
to accurately and precisely adjust your video system to
well-established industry standards but, most importantly, so that it delivers to you and your family the
ultimate home entertainment experience!

To find out more . .
.
Give
me a call at (914) 862-4660
or send me a message via our
convenient "Contact Us"
link below to make an appointment or
learn more about the various levels of professional video display
calibration available. It probably costs less than you think
(almost certainly less than many
other in-home technical services you might receive, few of which
use nearly $20,000 of sophisticated equipment!)
and the extended life and lower
energy usage alone are worth it. Better pictures are a
bonus!
I'll be glad to discuss your system, viewing
environment and personal preferences, before coming out, to make certain I'm able to give you and your
family all of the high-definition performance, realism and
entertainment excitement you desire.
You're welcome to watch . .
.
There
are no "trade secrets" involved in what I do. You're
welcome to watch (and ask questions) during your calibration session and I
heartily encourage you to do so!
The more we communicate about your family's
viewing habits and preferences, the better I'll be able to optimize
your very personal home entertainment experience
(and the more likely it is you'll
recommend me to your family, friends, neighbors, business
associates and other acquaintances). Remember: if
you're not happy, I'm not happy.
What to do
before
I arrive for your
calibration appointment . . .
- Turn on your display(s) to warm them up in preparation for calibration (at least an hour before our scheduled appointment).
- Collect ALL of your video system factory-supplied remotes (TV, DVD player, cable box or satellite receiver, A/V receiver or pre-pro, video game deck, etc.) as I'll need them to make the appropriate adjustments to your system.
- Be prepared to enter a richer, more intensive world of home entertainment!
